Julie Chamberlin Obituary
Julie Cook Chamberlin, 78, of Darien, CT, unexpectedly passed away on the morning of Tuesday, October 21st 2025. Julie was born on October 23rd 1946 in Hartford, CT to Victor and Elizabeth Cook.
She grew up in West Hartford as the oldest of nine children. While attending a dance at the Madison Beach Club, she met her husband, Theodore Chamberlin. They were married in 1966 and together they raised two children.
Julie was an avid volunteer at her children's elementary school and with various local organizations. She later started a wallpaper hanging business with her good friend and ended her working career as a preschool teacher, known as "Miss Julie". She was kind, generous, had a great sense of humor and loved her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Brooke (John) Nilsen, Ted (Meg) Chamberlin III; grandchildren, Lily, John and Tessa. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore.
A wake will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd. in Darien. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maurice Church, 358 Glenbrook Rd., Stamford. Julie's interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
