Leo Rogowski Obituary
Leo W Rogowski, a longtime resident of Darien, passed away on November 28th, 2018 Born in Stamford, CT in 1917, he was the son of the late Anthony and Helen Rogowski
Leo was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, the former Sophie Gavel; a son Phillip; and brothers: William, Joseph, Edward and sisters Ann Dedura and Marion Gaieski He is survived by his children Leon (Deirdre) of Fairfield, CT, Stephanie LaRoche of Chester, MA and Gregory (Debbie) of Livermore, CA; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren He will be fondly remembered by his dear neighbors whose friendship, love and support he cherished
Leo served in the Army during World War II He was a photo engraver for McCalls and Redbook magazine for 35 years and also worked for Swan Color Graphics, Litho Craft of New England and retired from Lancer Graphics
Calling hours will be at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, December 2, from 2-4, followed by a prayer service Friends are invited to join the family for graveside services with full military honors at St John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien on Monday, December 3, at 11 am
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice or the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 375 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034
