Neil Christie Obituary
Neil N. Christie, Jr., a resident of Darien, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Stamford Hospital. Born on August 27, 1976 in Greenwich, CT, he was the son of Neil N. and Isabel Dowd Christie of Tequesta, FL. He was 36.
Neil graduated from Darien High School and Pine Ridge School. He worked as a computer specialist at Greenwich Partners and then was self-employed. He loved to ski, bike, and hang out with friends at Starbucks, Couleur Provence, Backstreets and Rory's.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Alison and her husband, Jay Roby, of Atlanta, GA and Lauren Christie of Jupiter, FL and two brothers, Michael Christie of New York City and Robert Christie of Stamford. He is also survived by a nephew, Ryan Roby; his paternal grandmother, Mary Christie of Boynton Beach, FL; and an uncle, Robert E. Christie of Stuart, FL.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
