Virginia Peake Obituary

Virginia Kemball-Cook (K-C) Peake of Simsbury, CT passed away surrounded by family on December 19th, after a brief illness

Virginia was born in Caracas, Venezuela on March 19, 1947 and relocated ten years later with her family to Darien, CT In her teen years, she was a championship one-design sailboat racer She graduated from Darien High School and Skidmore College

Virginia was an accomplished oil painting artist focused on landscapes, seascapes, florals and how sunlight enhanced these images She showed at various New England outdoor art shows and was represented by several Connecticut art galleries

Virginia brought joy to her many friends and her family with her positive attitude, ever-present smile and focus on self-empowerment to achieve fulfillment and happiness She loved nothing more than helping other people know how special they are

She is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Charlie Son Cyrus, his wife Jessica and grandson Shane Daughter Alison, her husband Kevin, grandson Jack and granddaughter Finley Virginia's grandchildren were the light of her life

Virginia was a lover of animals For those who wish, donations can be made in her name to: Wildlife Conservation Society, 2300 Southern Boulevard,  Bronx, NY 10460

A celebration of Virginia's life is scheduled on January 10th at the Avon Old Farms Hotel from 1:00-4:00PM
