Heartfelt condolences to the family. Dr. Rangarajan was one of the most kind-hearted persons that we have met who was fully dedicated to the promotion of carnatic music in the Dayton-Columbus-Cincinnati area spending hours and hours of his time for years and years. He was someone who devoted his services selflessly for the Hindu Temple of Dayton. May his soul rest in peace.

As we affectionately call him the Perippa of the family, an Indian way of respectfully calling the eldest member of the family, to me he personifies the spirit of the adventurer Colombus. He is a hero in our eyes and stood for love, passion and humanity.

May his soul rest in peace

Rangarajan mama's passing leaves a void in the community that will not be filled easily. His years of service to carnatic music and to the community he enriched with his efforts; for these we are grateful. He also always had an affection for and personal interest in others. He would always inquire about my family in India and send his greetings.

He will be missed. We thank his family for having shared him with us all for so many years.
