I have such good memories of being in her 5th grade class at U.S. Grant Elementary School. Bedknobs and Broomsticks is the book I remember her reading to us. She was so positive and loving as a teacher you couldn't help learning! Hopefully, every child has the privilege of having a teacher as wonderful as Miss Broadbent.

I extend my sincere sympathy to the family for the loss of this wonderful woman.
Ms. Broadbent was my 5th grade teacher at U.S. Grant School. She gave me one of the greatest gifts I have received in my lifetime (I am 58 years old today) ... she taught me to love reading. She read the book Charlotte's Web to us, and I couldn't wait to hear her bring these wonderful characters to life. Thanks to Miss Broadbent, my love for reading has given me a lifetime of pleasure.
As odd as this may sound, I am laminating her obituary to use as a bookmark as I continue my love for the printed page. I will never, ever forget what an inspiration she was.
God bless you all to have had her in your lives.

To Becky and Kevin, Brian and I are sorry for you loss. Alice was a very special lady. One thing for sure, Alice is standing straight and dancing in the streets of heaven as the tears are flowing down here. But, very soon, we will be joining her and our other loved ones. We'll all sing and dance for the Glory of God.
Our love and prayers,

Ms. Broadbent was my fifth grade teacher at Grant elementary. I am preparing for my fourth deployment to Iraq this Friday so I won't be able to attend the service. I will always remeber her.

To the family of Alice,
I'm so sorry for your loss but am sure she's in heaven. My best memeries of her was at Otterbein when she volinteered with the mothers day out program. I'm now working overseas but my prayers are with you all.
