Age 87, of Dayton, OH, born August 12, 1934, in Tuskegee, AL, to the late Maida Middleton and Elijah Jones, received her wings into eternal life
September 12, 2021. Introduced to Christ at an early age by her mother, she enjoyed studying the word, and listening to her gospel and blues
music, humming away as she sewed on her sewing machine. A natural nurturer, Bernice
enjoyed giving and caring for others, raising grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and caring for her late mother and aunt. She often visited the other patients during her early years at Grafton Oak to cover them with blankets, or just checking on them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hudson Sr; brothers, Alfred and Robert Tellis; son,
Melvin Tellis Sr; daughters, Johnnie and Brenda Tellis. Left to treasure her memory, her cherished children, Eula Brown,
Janice, Robert Jr, Kelvin, Keith, Wanda, LeDawn, Tammie and Tiffany Hudson; a host of beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cousins, and extended family. Walk-through visitation 9-11 am Monday, September 20, at New Vision C.O.G., 1117 Home Ave. Private family service. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
