CHANEY, Betty S. 'Salsie' Passed away March 9, 2010 at Walnut Creek Campus, Kettering. Born August 18, 1923 in Dayton, Ohio. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Dick Chaney, companion David Reese, parents Verne & Daisy Salisbury. She is survived by daughter Sukey (Bo) Brown of Kettering; son Bump (Barb) Chaney of South Bend; grandchildren Aimy Young of Lithia, Fl; Steffen A. Brown III of Missoula, Mt.; Elizabeth Rose & Anne Brown of Oakwood; Marybeth Clarke of Harrisonburg, Va; niece Peach Macey of Lakeland, Fl. Chris, Scott & Rick Chaney of South Bend; sister Jane Brown of Atlanta; great-grandchildren Piper, Tatum & Bo Young, Elle Clarke; Good friends Laurie & Paul Rockhold, Gerry Brown, Pat Goodrich. She was a resident of Toorak, Melbourne, Aust. for 15 years and Oakwood; Oakwood class of 1941; member of St. Paul's, Australian - American Assoc., American Women's Auxiliary for the Royal Children's Hospital, committee for the Coral Sea Ball, 1956 Olympic Navy Ball; private service at Woodland Cemetery; In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, Oh 45420 (Hospiceofdayton.org).

Very sorry to hear of Betty's passing. I worked with her at the Children's Psych Hospital as her assistant and she was a great lady!!
My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
