Betty Gray Obituary

Gray, Betty L.

Gray, Betty L., 98 of Springfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 27, 2025 in Villa Springfield surrounded by family. She was born July 11, 1927 in Springfield the daughter of John and Sarah (Bauer) Meehan. She worked for the Kissel Company, Swallen's Furniture and most notably Reid School for 17 years, as the head cook. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, very active in the Community Hospital Cardiac Rehab program, was a poll worker from 1972 to 2017 and an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. Survivors include her two daughters, Tami (Chuck) Webb, Robyn (Jamie) Terrell; four grandchildren, Doug (Theresa) Gray, Bryan (Debra) Gray, Natalie Gray, Sarah (Jared) Newkirk and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas Gray in 2003; son, James Gray in 2024 and daughter-in-law, Jeanne Anne Gray in 2020. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Cherish Hospice, 1929 E. High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
