I just learned of his passing and want to extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Dave served as my mentor and supervisor during my social work studies. I credit him for guiding me into my 21-year career at the VA. He was not only my first supervisor but also the best I've ever had. Recently, I contemplated reaching out to catch up with him, so his untimely passing saddens me deeply. Reflecting on the start of my career at the VA brings back memories of the laughter we shared while working together. I treasured his leadership and friendship immensely.
