News Death Notice
LEWIS, Jr. Carl G. 71, of Dayton, passed away Monday, October 28 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Carl G. Lewis, Sr, and brother, Larry Lewis. Carl is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy; children, Steve Lewis of Kettering, Kelly (Trey) Rushing of Dayton, Shawn Lewis of Atlanta, GA, Shannon (Jeff) Barhorst of Beavercreek, and Holly (John) O'Brien of Fisher, IN; 9 grandchildren; brother, Bob (Bobbie) Lewis of Colorado Springs, CO, and sister Andrea (Steve) Earick of Indian Lake, OH. Carl was a 1960 graduate of Beavercreek High School and a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He retired from General Motors after 27 years of service. He was affiliated with the Milton Athletic Club, Dayton Gym Club and the Loyal Order of Moose, Indian Lake Lodge #1533. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, November 2 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd, Dayton, OH 45420. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Carl's memory be made to Hospice of Dayton or Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Arrangements entrusted to TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com

Carl was truly the nicest of the nice. Through the years, I had hundreds of conversations with Carl and never heard him speak ill of others. We have truly lost a great man. Prayers for the entire Lewis family.
