COX, Carolyn Age 73 of Hamilton passed away on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 16, 1945 to William and Edna (Muncy) Yannello and graduated from Taft High School and the Hamilton Business College. She was united in marriage to David P. Lemon on December 30, 1972 at St. Ann's Church in Hamilton, OH. Carolyn worked in Accounts Receivable at Champion Papers in Hamilton, OH for 30 years, and had previously worked at Ohio Casualty Insurance, also in Hamilton, OH. A past member of St. Mary Church in Hamilton, she currently was a member of Queen of Peace Church in Millville, OH. Carolyn was always concerned with helping others less fortunate. She was especially concerned with the needs of children and volunteered with organizations doing that type of work. Later, with the approval of administration at Champion Papers, she organized Christmas Families to provide toys, clothing and Christmas dinners to needy families with children. Carolyn took on numerous projects over a number of years to provide funding for Christmas Families and enrolled many volunteers to deliver gifts, food, etc to those families before the Holidays. Survivors include her sister, Margaret Conboy, brother-in-law Larry Schindler and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David P. Lemon; her sisters, Louise Bell and Marie Schindler; her niece Linda Zecher and great-nephew Scott Zecher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Queen of Peace Church, 2550 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013 followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery, 1602 Greenwood Ave., Hamilton, OH 45011. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Queen of Peace Church, 2550 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013, Badin High School, 571 New London Rd., Hamilton, OH 45013 or Alzheimer's Association
