News Death Notice
MOORE, Mr. Charlie G. Age 81 of Dayton departed this life, Saturday, December 20, 2008. He was a native of Tazewell, VA and had resided in Dayton 45 years. A member of Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Moore Sr. and Elsie Moore Riddle, Brothers Joseph Moore Jr. & Robert C Moore, Loving wife of 55 years, Hattie Moore, daughter, Vanissa Moore, grandson Julian Elmore. Survivors include his children, Charlie Moore Jr., Theresa Elmore Dancy, Robert (Lillian) Moore, Charlene (Maurice) Gay, Vickie James; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister Elsie (Manard) Fleshman; brother Hubert (Cortez) Moore. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11AM, Monday, December 29th, 2008 at Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church, 3620 Shiloh Springs Rd. Pastor James E. Washington, officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Services Respectfully Rendered by H. H. Roberts.

I will always remember MR. Moore as a hard working and dedicated family man. He left many postive impressions on me and my siblings while he was performing his life work as a brick mason. We are saddened to hear of his passing and send many prayers and our deepest sympathy to all of you during this time.

Our family prays that you all find solace and peace in knowing that Mr. Moore will rest in peace with his beloved wife. Mr. Moore was a kind and good man. I will always remember him and that when I was in need he reached out to help me by giving me a job. We love and pray for you all.
