Clifford URBANAS Obituary


News Death Notice

URBANAS, Sr., Clifford A. Age 92, of Dayton, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital. Cliff proudly served his country during WWII in the Army throughout Europe and was later attached to the British 8th Army in South Africa. He retired from Delco Products as an instructor after more than 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine, of 53 years; sons, Jerome, at birth, and Clifford, Jr., in 2007. Cliff is survived by daughter, Paulette (Ray) Shepherd; son, Carl J. Urbanas, Sr. He was affectionately known as "Poompa" by his grandchildren, Catherine Merkle, Annette Shepherd, Carla Malott (John), Carl Urbanas, Jr., and Diane Urbanas; great grandchildren, Allison Carpenter (Tom), Aaron Merkle, Paul Merkle, Evan Malott, Lily Malott, Daniel Malott and Jerran Urbanas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Reis Legacy Center Meyer-Boehmer Chapel, 6661 Clyo Rd., Centerville. A Prayer Service will be held at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, February 15th at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 15th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors. Words of encouragement may be sent to www.reislegacycenter.com.

Dear Paulette, You must be so relieved that Pumpa is with your mom. You sure honored both of your parents. The nuns would be so very proud of you. I know I am. You are the best daughter anyone could ever want. God bless you. Please find the peace you have earned. Love you, Judy Bogner
