LEWIS, Sr., Craig D.

Age 54, of Dallas, Texas, was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, to Zackaria Lewis, Sr. and Permmer Lee Lewis on April 9, 1968. Craig attended Dayton Christian and graduated in 1986 shorter thereafter. Craig attended Bowling Green State University as well as Miami Jacobs Community College where he obtained a paralegal certification. He was employed at Inland Good Samaritan Texas Health Resources in Emergency Services. He went home on September 20, 2022, at UT Southwestern Hospital – Intensive Care. Craig is preceded in death by his father, Zackaria Lewis, Sr; sister, Dorothea Humphrey. He leaves to mourn: his children, Craig Dwaine Lewis, Jr., Ashley Marie Lewis, and Cameron Shayne Lewis; granddaughter, Zenovia Lewis; mother, Permmer Lee Lewis; 2 brothers, Rev Reginald (Yvette) Lewis and Zack (Annette) Lewis, Jr; 2 sisters, Vertie Regina Lewis and Wanda Elaine Hines; ex-wife, Marcia Reed Lois Clements; friends, Denise Johnson and Phyllis Titius; and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45416, with General Elder Johnathan Lott, III officiating. Walk through visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment: West Memory Garden Cemetery.
