I used to work at VMC in 2004-2006 as a file clerk. He always treated me decently and with respect. I will always remember him and keep him in my prayers. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. May he rest in peace. God bless!

I was at the grocery store the other day and I heard a familiar pop, pop, pop behind me. I immediately thought of David and his rhythmic pop when he walked down the hall. I turned around and saw a tall, slender man with Dave-like glasses, and was startled for a moment. Then I gave a big smile to the gentleman who tickled that memory in me. I still play "name that tune" with the oldies like we did at work. I imagine we split the wins. God bless his family.

WATCHED the Steelers game in honor of Dave today! Still think of him often and miss him and our "name that tune" when we worked together. We were such a good team... He called us "The A Team". Love to Bev and the kids.

I never fail to remember David whenever I hear an "oldies" song, as we played "Name that tune" while working. Being only one year my junior, our "growing up" music was the same. It was a race to see who could get the right answer first. I think we ended in a tie, overall. We were a good team, which he dubbed "THE A TEAM, and enjoyed working together and getting the job done in a pleasant fashion. I learned so much from him, because he loved to teach, and I was a willing learner. I think of him often, still saddened by the loss, but truly blessed to have known him.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Dr Perilman's family and your difficult loss. Dr Perilman was my physician for 25 years and I had the utmost respect for his medical knowledge and his advice. He always had a smile and made time for you which made us-his patients feel special-even though we were going to see a doctor because we were sick. He treated everyone with compassion and kindness and he will also be sorely missed by his patients.

I know it's harder for us than you, and you're still likely watching over us all. I hope to see you again someday.

October 8, 2014

I just received my letter today. I am SO SAD. Dr. Perilman was my doctor for more than 20 years. Dr. Perilman was a very caring, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. He AWAYS thoroughly answered my questions and then made time to just "chit-chat" and share some humor and wit. During my last appointment with him, we talked about his DEC 2015 "countdown" to retirement and we discussed the world map hanging in the patient room - places we each had traveled and dreams of places to visit. My prayers to Mrs. Perilman for the loss of your husband and to the entire family. May God watch over each of you and pour His love and comfort on you during this most difficult time. Prayers also to the staff at Vandalia Medical Center for the loss of an incredible physician and friend...I will miss each one of you that took care of me, my mother and family for the past three decades. Sadly, Cheryl Graham

Dear Mrs. Perilman, I know this is quite late as I have been waiting for him to return to practice. I am absolutely at a lost for true comforting words for you and the family. But I do know that we serve an awesome God and now Dr. Perilman is with the Lord. May He comfort you and the family not just now but as you carry on with him. Dr. Perilman had been not just my doctor for over 25 years but I would call him a friend. He guided me in the right directions when he discovered I had colon cancer. Being an avid Steelers fan and me an avid Cowboys fan I truly enjoyed our chats. God bless you and your family

We are still in utter shock about the passing of our family doctor. Our family will miss the care and compassion dr. perilman had for all his patience. In this hustle and bustle age, great, and caring doctors are hard to find... Not only was he our doctor, we considered him a caring friend. Even if one of us would have to be seen, he always asked how the other one was. His shoes will be hard to fill for us on our search for a new doctor. I know they will never be able to be filled for you. Praying for all of you. May God wrap his arms around you tight until your time comes to be with him in heaven <3.

October 5, 2014

Dr. Perilman---what a great doc and what a pleasure to have known you and helped taking care of your patients. Almost had a chance to work with you but always a pleasure talking with you. God Bless you on your final journey.

Personally....I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the staff. Those of you who worked with him day to day loved him. I am sure it will be hard not to see his smiling face and share his wit. My Husband and I adored him. He was not just a Dr but a friend. His shoes will be hard to fill. He was the most caring concerned Dr I ever had he always took the time to chit chat and to assure you of anything that was important. I personally cried. He was more than special he was an angel. Deepest to the staff as well as the family.

He will be forever a star. Dennis and Mitzi Gilliam

Sorry for your family loss! He set the standard for what I expected in all the other doctors I had to see for specialized reasons. I have not seen him for awhile but knew that retirement was coming soon and was not looking forward to seeing him go! He was kind, compassionate and very patient with this patient. In the days ahead, I trust you will find God's strength to be with your family.

September 26, 2014

I had the good dr for just the last two to three years. He was always very kind, professional, and thorough. He always took time for small talk about issues in my personal life as well as his own.I deeply regret the loss for his family and loved ones and pray they find peace in this time of grief and loss.

September 26, 2014

Dr Perilman has been my doctor from the very beginning at VMC. He became my husband's doctor also. It was a generational thing because my parents were his patients too. Few years ago I had gone to see him because I had a bug bite on my leg that became very infected....this lead to a conversation about bee stings and the use of mustard. He got a thoughtful look on his face and excused himself from the room. He went straight to his computer and started investigating this mustard thing. He found that I could be right and said he would do some more research. I smiled when I left. I loved his handshakes and sense of humor. We will miss him terribly. May his family and co-workers find some peace.

My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to Dr. Perilman's family. He was more than the most wonderful physician I have ever known; he was a friend. As a history teacher, I loved to go into his office and discuss world politics and look at his many maps. He spoke of his family often and I know that he looked forward to every minute spent with his grandchildren. Heartbroken for the family's loss, and for ours.

Dr. Perilman was not only a great physician but took a leadership role in many areas/projects at Miami Valley Hospital and PremierHealth over the years--a good listener, trying to find the middle ground on difficult issues, balanced, insightful, and smart. He truly had patient care in the forefront of any plans. The success factor of endeavors went up considerably where Dave was involved. We will miss him on so many levels in this organization. My heart was totally crushed when I learned about God having you come home standing next to him as he needs help because his hands are to full and you are the best beyond best of physicians ever I always hated to call the office and hear them say you were to full, I even waited to come in when I was having an allergic reaction. You never rushed through you really cared about your patients You have a very special place in my heart and will never ever be forgotten I've always said no one will ever take your place and they never will I Praise God for having you as a physician and I am very heart broken that God called you home Never in a million years would I ever dream of not having you here being our physician you are the only physician that could ever diagnose what was really wrong and gave us the proper medicine to heal us. You are so missed and dear to my heart. I'm Praying for your family. May God bless and keep your family.

Our thoughts go to the family of David Perilman. One of a kind!
My wife and I were so happy to have found him. We dreaded his retirement next year and talked about it often. We love and will miss his ability, empathy, patience and humor. All of which made him the best Doctor we ever had, by a mile. Those who have said that he always took time were right on the mark. We will miss him greatly.

We were so blessed to have him for our Dr for the past 3 years. Our daughter and son-in-law referred him to us. They had been with him for 30 years. He was so kind, and always took all the time you needed to talk with him, never making you feel rushed (as opposed to our previous Dr). We considered him a friend, and already miss him greatly. So hard to believe he is gone, but he will certainly never be forgotten. May God bless all his loved ones, and give them peace in knowing how much he loved them, and how much he was loved and appreciated by everyone whose life he touched.

Very sorry to see in Wheeling paper today about Dave. It's been over 43 years since I last saw him on graduation day at Linsly in 1971. Dear Perilman family, David was a kind and caring man, a terrific physician and loving father. Nearly ever visit to the office turned to talk of his children, he was so very proud of them individually and as a whole. May G~d Bless you each and care for you during this most difficult time. I know I'm shocked and stunned that such an accident took him from us, I can only imagine your pain... just remember he wouldnt want anyone to suffer at his expense, he was a healer first and foremost and would only want you to feel that healing breath of his life not the anguish of his passing. I am praying for your family. He was my family doctor pretty much my whole life. Truly a great man. He will be sorely missed. - Tina Leonard

He became my doctor in February 2013 when I was found to have Type 2 diabetes. This year with blood clots in my legs in July he was so honest and so true! Simply the best! Will miss him!

This was one of the best men I ever knew. He was more than just my doctor he was my friend. He always loved talking to you and actually hearing what you had to say which most doctors don't do these days. He was beyond intelligent and I will greatly miss our conversations even though they were normally because I was sick or injured. I can honestly say I loved this man. I just cant believe he is gone. I will miss you Dr. Perilman, this world wont be the same without you. My heart is just broken.

So very sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man. Knew him through his wife Bev whom I worked for at PSA for years. Sending many thoughts and prayers for the many friends and family members who got a chance to be in his life.
