Dennis A. BEACH

BEACH, Dennis A. passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Bradenton, Florida. He was born and raised in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania where his father was the Borough Manager and his mother was Director of Nursing for Nason Hospital. As a life long learner, he earned multiple degrees beginning with a B.A. in English, (1963) from Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana. He met his wife Louise while in college and continued with a Masters in Divinity from Grace Seminary. Dennis represented Grace College and Seminary traveling with "The Herald's of Grace" in a men's quartet for several years. Dennis pastored in Northeastern Ohio and Southern California. While in California he received a Doctorate of Divinity from Grace Graduate School, Long Beach, California and an Education Degree from Biola University in La Mirada, California. Later he received a Masters in Counseling from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. Many will remember his gift of music to the Springfield community as a singer for the Community Lyric Chorus, United Senior Services Chorus, First Christian choir, First Christian men's quartet and a soloist for various organizations. He retired as a counselor for Springfield City Schools. His family includes his wife, Louise, a daughter, Melissa Beach, Dublin, Ohio and son LCDR Matthew Beach, Bre (Theiss) Beach, and granddaughter, Abby Beach, Aiea, Hawaii. His sister, Linda Beach, in Florida and cousins, across the country, lovingly remember him as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Mark and Elaine Terrell, Springfield, Ohio. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dan Powell officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 3-5:00 p.m.
