I didn't know Devan long but in the short time that I did work with him, I saw a compassionate and dedicated man who worked hard to treat people right. I enjoyed watching his interactions with patients as they were often filled with humor and always with patience and kindness. I only just found out about his death today and I'm still in shock. I pray for peace for his family as they attempt to make sense of something that will never make sense. Until we meet again, young man, thank you for the impact that you had on this world.

Devan, I remember how great of a student you were for me at Dayton View Academy. You were the student I could always depend upon. I loved when your mom would come visit and get things done for us. You were my angel and will be forever. I always told you that you'd leave a lasting impression with anyone you'd meet because you had a personality that was joyful. I still remember the writing assignments and projects you'd do because you were super smart. Looking at your picture as a grown man is a honor to know that you touched my life. Rest well Devan, I will forever love you and your family.
