Don Marshall Obituary
News Death Notice
Marshall, Dr. Don A. born March 4, 1929 in Frankfort, KY, unexpectedly departed this life on June 28, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents Elsworth and Laleta Marshall and four siblings A physician for the General Motors Corporation, he served several GM plants in the Dayton area, including DMAX and Delco in Vandalia, OH, for many years until his death. Dr. Marshall earned a BS degree at Kentucky State University, a MS degree at the University of Kentucky, and his Doctorate degree at Meharry Medical College in 1967. Dr. Marshall was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, the Montgomery County Medical Society, the Ohio State Medical Assn., the American Medical Assn., and the National Medical Assn. He was past-president and partner of the Good Samaritan Emergency Group and past-president of the Gem City Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Society. Dr. Marshall leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Roumania (Mason) Marshall; 3 children, Don Marshall and Angela Marshal; and Donna Maria Marshall (who preceded him in death)l; 1 sister, Lolite Oliver; 4 brothers, Larry Marshall, Robert Marshall, Elsworth Marshall, and Reggie Marshall; 3 grandchildren, Sherica Marshall, Josef Marshall, and Kristofer Marshall; 1 great-grandchild, Dallas N. Marshall; and a host of caring relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011, 12PM at Bethel Baptist Church, 409 S. Paul Laurence Dunbar Street, Dayton, OH, Dr. Charles Brown, officiating. The family will receive visitors from 11:00AM until 12:00PM. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the BOWMAN FUNERAL CHAPEL.

Dr. Marshall was always congenial, never ruffled, kind and caring and worked round the clock. I worked with him for ten years at Northwest Medical Center from. 76-86. I don't know how he did it.
