Family-Placed Obituary
SOLGANIK, Dora (nee Fastoff) Beloved wife of the late Harry. Loving mother of Leonard (Lois), Marvin (Judy) and Vivian L. Solganik. Devoted grandmother of Randy (Wendy) Solganik, Janet (Jim) Stonehill, Robert (Kathy) Solganik, Howard (Leslie) Solganik, Carin and David Solganik and great-grandmother of 9. Dear sister of the late Sonia Schwartz and 9 other brothers and sisters, all deceased. Services will be held Tuesday, August 23 at 3pm at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Hgts. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the residence of V. Solganik, 3330 Warrensville Center Rd., Shaker Hgts. THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING. Friends who wish may contribute to The Menorah Park, The Child Care Association or the B'nai Jeshurun Congregation.

I am so sorry for your loss of Grandma Dora and just learned about this. Her presence was wonderful. I too had a Grandma Dora who came over from Poland at the beginning of the last century before Nazi invaded, but I didn't get her delicious recipes when I was young. NOr did anyone else in my family. I really appreciated learning how she made gefilte fish on Joan Nathan's cooking show and am sorry I didn't see her on Regis'show as I would have loved it. She reminds me a lot of my own Grandma Dora and I too just lost my father last month as well and just felt sad and like sharing my condolences here. If her recipes have been preserved I would love to find out how to get some of them. My her memory be a source of comfort to her family and friends.

Dear Leonard, Marvin, Vivian and family,
What can we say that everyone who met and interacted with Dora doesn't know? We will miss her generosity, warm kind-heartedness, and high-spirited personality. We have only fond memories of Dora!

Vivian,
A friend told me of your mother's passing. She was a lovely, vibrant woman who seemed to enjoy every aspect of life. I am pleased to have been her 'neighbor' until 2001.
My mother died in 1999 at age 93 and it was still too soon. Bless you all.

Dear Viv and family,
Thinking of you today and wish could be with you. It seems like yesterday when you and I would come home from Rickoff and see your Mom in the Bar and visit with Sonia. It's a lot of history for us.
