Dustin RECK Obituary

RECK, Dustin Charles 29, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Dayton on Tuesday night, August 15th, 2017. Born on February 9th, 1988, Dustin grew up in Bellefontaine and graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 2006 before relocating to Dayton. He was a skilled cook and avid disc golf player, and enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with the family dogs. He was due to graduate from Fortis College in Centerville as an HVAC technician in the Fall. Dustin was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Thornton; an uncle, Jimmy Perdue; a nephew, Coltin Jones; and his brother, Joshua Reck. He is survived by his paternal grandparents, Sharon & Jerry Johnson; his father and stepmother, Charles (Kenny) & Wasunan Reck; his stepfather and stepmother, David & Leann Thornton; his sisters, Danielle Jones, Tiffany Thornton, & Ashley Thornton; five nieces and nephews; and his son, Mason Tackett. Memorial arrangements to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of memorial contributions in Dustin's name to Adam's Recovery Center in New Richmond, or to the nonprofit organization Heroin Support at heroinsupport.org.
