Edith FROST

1929 - 2019

FROST, Edith Marie "Maw Maw" "Aunt Ree" 89, of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord January 7, 2019 in Southbrook Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 5, 1929 in Springfield, the daughter of Ernest Lorenzo and Mabel Marie (Carpenter) White. Mrs. Frost was a devoted member of the Eastside Freewill Baptist Church. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking and playing bingo. Survivors include four children; Kathleen (Rolfe) Jessee, Springfield, Michael Frost, Chicago, IL, Melvin L. (Karen) Frost Jr and Kelly (Karen) Frost all of Springfield, four grandchildren; Jason (Heather) Rutan, Zachary (Martha) Rutan, Kris (Angela) Frost and Jessica Frost, one step grandson; Rob (Kim) Jessee, four great grandchildren; Nicholas, Maddie, Claire and Jackson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years; Melvin L. "Uncle Bub" Frost on September 21, 2018, three sisters; Katherine Heekin, Lucille Tilton and Wilma Artz, one brother; Charles White and her parents. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday in the Eastside Freewill Baptist Church, 2735 Hilltop Avenue, Springfield, OH. Funeral services will be held at 12:00Noon Friday in the church, with Rev. James Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
