News Death Notice
JANSEN (Bowling), Edith Judith "Judy" Age 73, of Dayton passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. She was born in Cocle, Republic of Panama on August 29, 1941. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard & Mary Jansen; sister, Dorothy Jansen Thomas and lifelong friend, Mattie Booker. She is survived by her sister, Marie (Jeffrey Delk) Jansen; daughters, Nuemi (Gilbert Jr.) Maxey and Christa (Rodney) Crouch; grandchildren, Carmen "Maria" Jansen, Elena Maxey, Emilio Maxey, Pilar Maxey, Caralina Crouch and Rodney Crouch Jr.; great-grandchildren, Manuel Jansen, Meyaire Jansen-Scott, Macaria Jansen-McCray and Nastacia Reyes; and a host of friends. Judy attended Vandalia Butler High School and the Miami Valley School of Nursing. She was a devoted nurse in the city of Dayton until she retired. Judy enjoyed playing Bingo, cheering the Bengals, gardening and finding a bargain. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 12-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 2pm. When I think of Ms Jansen I remember her great sense of humor and that she was always smiling, like her daughter, Nuemi. My prayers are with you all. May God send His angels to support you through the coming days.

I've had the pleasure working with Judith and cared for her when she was ill. She is not was a wonderful and beautiful person. You will be miss but God is getting a beautiful Angel. Luv you Annette Keel.

Wishing you deepest condolences. Nice picture of Judy. I laughed when I read in the obituary that she liked Bingo; she loved Bingo! How fitting she passed on Cinco de Mayo. Sorry I will not be able to attend the funeral, but I will be thinking of you all. God bless.
