News Death Notice
BOLLER, Edwin L. age 95, of Dayton passed away Tuesday May 15th 2012, at Kettering Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents Celinda and Edwin Boller and sister, Myrtle Ulery. Edwin is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Mary ( Stockelman ) Boller. He is survived by his son Jerry Edwin Boller and wife Jackie of Moss Bluff, La. Daughter Jeannie ( Boller ) Cotter and husband Patrick of Kettering, Oh. Four grandchildren: Scott Cotter and wife Beth, Kimberlee Cotter and Fiancee' Ralph Pfeifer all of Chicago, Il. Jennifer (Boller) Proctor and husband Matt and Jessica Boller all of Houston, Tx. Five Great-grandchildren: Ben, Kristen and Nate Cotter, Anna and Samuel Proctor. Edwin was born in Cincinnati Oh. Graduated from Western Hills High School where he played on the basketball team. He attended University of Cincinnati. He had a great love of sports all his life. He retired from Dayton, Power and Light as a Systems Analyst Supervisor. He attended Holy Angels Catholic Church. Funeral Service 10 am Friday May 18th 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME, 5471 Far Hills Ave. ( Far Hills Chapel ) Ftr. Dan Meyer officiating. Visitation 9am til the time of service on Friday at the funeral Home. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to your favorite charity. Condolences www.tobiasfuneralhome.com

Worked with Ed in DP&L EDP from 1960 thru 1979. He talked of his family often. listened to the children's growth thru his stories. He was always a gentleman and I enjoyed him always. he was the one who came up with the idea of using MICR for meter reading - DP&L was the first to do so. But he had trouble explaining how he cut off the tips of his fingers with a hand saw. Yes, we laughed a lot too. He was also our Cincy expert!. My sympathies to his loved ones - Ed was a GOOD MAN!...
