Ella Coldly

COLDLY, Ella E. 79, of Dayton passed away December 12, 2017. She was born May 29, 1938 in Padang, Indonesia to the late Marie (Londt) and Gerald Robbers and came to the United States in December of 1956. She was preceded in death by sisters, Alma Robbers, Jeanette Helmrich and Marie Lauw, brother, Eddie, uncle Bill, nephew Jim Braaksma, grandson, Meshach Jackson and great-great granddaughter, Bella. She leaves to mourn her memory, 2 sisters, Augustina Braaksma, Greta Davison , 1 brother, Reiner Robbers; 7 children, Herbert Johnson Sr.(Dabney), Anthony English, Alonzo English Jr., Cleophis English, Yvonne Minor (Larry), Wilbur T. Dabney, Kenneth Dabney Sr. (Alisa); 20 grandkids, 36 great grandkids, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. Ella was a loving and giving person. She was known as "Mom" in the neighborhood and everyone knew where to get something to eat. She started her cooking career at Ben's Hamburger Stand in the 1950s and has been cooking ever since. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00pm Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Bold Believers Church of Christ 489 S. Broadway St. Trotwood, OH where funeral service will follow at 12:00pm, Dr. Cleavon P. Matthews Sr. officiating. Burial at Jeffersonview Cemetery.
