Family-Placed Obituary

BAYNARD, Flora Mae (Smith) age 81, of Troy, formerly of Xenia, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at home. She was born April 19, 1925 in Wilmington, OH, the daughter of Clayton W. & Grace Irene (Snell) Smith. She retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base where she had been employed for 20 years as an executive secretary. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Aldora Chapter in Xenia and received her 50 year pin, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold W. Baynard; son, Rev. Monte DeVoe Baynard; and her brother, Clayton Smith. Survivors include her daughters, Debra (William) Vaughn of Huber Heights and Tamara (Clyde) Ganger of Troy; grandchildren, Nickie Baynard of Xenia, Natasha Ganger & Zachary Ganger, both of Troy; and daughter-in-law Diane Baynard-Hollenbeck of Xenia. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, September 11, 2006 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Don Trumbull officiating. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Southwest Ohio/Northern Kentucky Office, 8899 Brookside Ave. #2, West Chester, OH 45069.
