Dear Sherry, Matthew, Shawn,Timmy, and families,
Garry's Uncle Alfred is very sad and grieving for him. He says he knows he is now in Heaven with Ruth and Ernest because he was such a good person. Days before Garry's passing I talked to the family about how you two visited us after Garry came back from Vietnam and how he asked Tami, she was a little girl, what happened to her red hair. Her hair had turned brown while he was gone. We reflected on our memories of when he preached at the Heidelberg Baptist Church, Aunt Jane's funeral, and family reunions.
I am sorry I could not come to the funeral but Alfred and I are taking care of my mother, Audrey, who is in the severe stages of Alzheimer's.
Alfred did not want to put her in a nursing home. I retired last year and it has been one of the worst years of my life but if this is as bad as life gets for me, I can survive. May God comfort you. I am sorry we could not spend more time together.
Love, Sherry Deaton Butler and family
