FORTE, Gertrude Virginia Age 83 of Kettering, OH passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2005. She was a long time employee of the Kettering School System in cafeteria management. She was preceded in death by her husband Adrian N. Forte. She is survived by a daughter, Donna J. Vogel & husband George of Beavercreek, OH; a son, John E. Forte & wife Alice of Eaton, OH; 4 sisters; Geraldine Strait of Greenville, OH, Susan Wallis of Alamogordo, NM, Norma Holt of Arthurdale, W.VA, Jean Myers of Parsons, W.VA; 4 brothers; Melvin Owens, Roy Owens, Bruce Owens all of Parsons, W.VA, David Owens of Roanoke, W.VA.; 5 Grandchildren; Christopher Vogel (Jennifer), James Vogel, George A. Vogel III, Michelle Thomas, Randy Forte; 4 great grandchildren; Jarod Vogel, Jude Vogel, Mikal Thomas, and DeAndre Thomas. Funeral service 10 AM Friday at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME, Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Jennifer J. Vogel officiating. Interment, Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
