Glenn R. "Burr" IMLER

IMLER, Glenn R. "Burr" Age 77 of Brookville, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Burr had co-owned and operated Village Butcher Shop in Brookville for more than 36 years and was a former Brookville Park Board member for 27 years. He had coached peewee football in Brookville and little league baseball in Clayton for many years and he enjoyed playing softball. He is survived by his children: Heidi Imler of Brookville, Chad Imler of Brookville, Clint Imler of Brookville, Meko (Brent) Boose of Brookville, grandchildren: Jordan (Heather) Broomhall, Kaci (Jason) Gustavson, great grandson: Gavin Gustavson, brothers-in-law: Wayne Watkins, Morlane "Bud" (Dorothy) Dill, sisters-in-law: Sonia Troxell, Helen Dill Binkley, nieces: Leah Staup, Lois (Jerry) Dale, Linda Naginey, great nephew: Alex Dale, great niece: Linley Dale, great-great nephew: Jaxon Long, nieces: Kathy Troxell Brophy, Beth Imler (Mike) Stephens, nephew: Tim (Melanie) Troxell, numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carole (Troxell) Imler, parents: John and Mabel (Crowe) Imler, brother: Robert Imler, sister: Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Watkins, sister-in-law: Mary "Mickey" (Smock) Troxell and nephew: Thomas Brown Troxell III. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Dayton, especially Dr. Amy Mestemaker and nurses, Melanie, Bessie and Nate for the wonderful care given to Burr. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 7, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). Interment will be held privately at Bethel Cemetery.
