HOOVER, Sr., Reverend Herbert W. Born to the late M.M. and Elsie Hoover November 19, 1919 went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2015. Herb graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School in 1937 and from Bob Jones University in 1944. This became Christ Community Church. The congregation built a church building, without bank financing, at Upper Bellbrook and South Alpha Bellbrook Road in 1997. Herb was predeceased by his brother Robert M. Hoover and his sister Joan Abby. Besides his wife, Rev. Hoover leaves behind to cherish his memory his son Timothy (Rusty Moe) and Herbert, Jr. (Zindy Taylor); his grandchildren Ryan (Lillian Bayley) Hoover of Baltimore, MD; Chad Hoover of Davis, CA; Andrea (Brian) Malevich of Morrow, OH; And Lauren (Todd) Mikesell of Xenia, OH; and his great-grandchildren, Abigail Malavich, Luke Mikesell, Alexander Malalvich, and Avanell Mikesell. Very Sorry to read about the Passing of the Reverend Hoover. I remember him very well from my senior year in 1971 at Colonel White High School. He was a very good man of god who shared his faith. My condolences to his Wife and sons and family.

Jack and I first met Herb and Florence at a church service at Omer Roberts church in Dayton in 1971. Herb so lovingly shared God's truth of Jesus and through the years has continued to be a blessing and a good friend. Trudy Wells
