GRIFFITH, Jr., Homer 81, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Oakwood Village. He was born December 23, 1936 in Landville, West Virginia, the son of Margie (Meade) and Homer Griffith, Sr. Homer was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served time in Germany. He retired from SPECO Corp. following 30 years employment. He enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Eva May (Thomas) Griffith and five children and their families, Natalie (James) Koepnick and daughters, Mercedes and Alyssa, Bobby (Angel) Griffith and daughters, Brittany and Kayla and Kayla's son, Waylon, Susan Beccera and sons, Noel and Andrew, Rebecca (Gina) Griffith, and Rachel (Leonard) Griffith and sons, Isaiah and Elijah. Homer is also survived by two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. A celebration of Homer's life will be held at a later date.
