News Death Notice

WILKERSON, Ira W., Sr. "Tex" age 86, of Dayton, died Sunday, July 11, 2010. Ira was a World War II Veteran of the Army Air Corp. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Mystic Lodge #405 and the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy; step-sons, Jim, Kenneth and Ronnie Leach. Ira is survived by his step-daughter, Laura Shellabarger of Dayton; son, Ira Wilkerson, Jr. & wife, Teresa of Waynesville; daughters-in-law, Connie Leach of West Milton and Carlene Leach of Dayton; brothers, Ken, Bill and Kellis all of Texas; sister, Vera of California; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Meyer-Boehmer & Reis Funeral Home, 1733 Brown Street, Dayton with Pastor James Freeman, officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
