News Death Notice
HAILEY, J. C. "Daddy" Age 93, of Dayton, departed this life to be with the Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at his residence. J. C. was born June 12, 1919 to Carter Hailey and Sallie Waifer in Magnolia, Arkansas, and resided in Dayton many years. He served in the U. S. Navy and retired from Dayton Tire & Rubber following many years of service. J. C. is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donelleda Hailey; daughters, Glinda Sue and Janet Hailey; sons, Charles and Lonnie Hailey and a grandson, Wallace Hailey Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory; (2) sons, Wallace Hailey of Dayton and James Hailey of Albany, N. Y.; (8) devoted grandchildren, Chris, Tiffany, Felicia, Donell and Tobias Hailey, Tiera Lakes, Destyne Mitchell and Darryl Harrison; (1) daughter-in-law, Georgia Hailey and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 1:00 P.M., MONDAY, April 22, 2013 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery.
