My favorite memory of Jim was a phone call with him and Marj on their 50th wedding anniversary. I had been tipped by my sister-in-law, Elizabeth, of the date and, since I procrastinated in sending a card I decided to call them on their special day. Our conversation was fun and light-hearted, and I came away from the call feeling like there’s a couple in love, who are comfortable together and know each other well. Both Marj and Jim were warm and friendly and interested in how and what I was up to. My sincerest condolences to Marj & Libby and all of the family on the passing of Jim. I’ll be thinking of you all this weekend.

I had "Uncle Jim" as a counselor in the summer of 1963 at Scott Day Camp. Our group was named the "Graverobbers"
(our idea, not his) and that summer was the best of the 5 years I had at the camp. We were the oldest group and he treated us as such. While he set a high level of expectation for us, the eight weeks with him were rewarding and enjoyable for all of us. My thoughts are with his family as we have lost a really great guy.
