News Death Notice
BLACKBURN, Jean age 73, of Dayton, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Blackburn; daughter, Shirley Blackburn; parents, Samuel & Della Stewart; brother, James Stewart; sisters, Shirley Owens and June Plemons. She is survived by her sons, Billy, Samuel and Emmitt Blackburn; 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Stewart and his wife Margie; sister, Helen Chadwell; numerous nieces; nephews; relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will be held Monday, January 3, 2011 at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bearcreek Cemetery. Jean you will be greatly missed! You were the toughest lady I knew. You never took any crap from anyone! I know you are in heaven smiling down at your loved ones! You are now reunited with your daughter and other loved ones and I am sure you are happier now then you have been in a long. Love ya! Rest in peace!
