Mandy,

I was heartbroken when I heard the news. I remember the first time I saw Jocelyn, I think she was about 3 or 4 days old. Doug and I visited you when you came home from the hospital. You were both so happy and excited to be parents. I remember babysitting her a couple of times, watching her learn how to walk , she was so cute. Hold on to all of those wonderful memories of her. We are praying daily for you.
Love,
The Lowes

Mandy,
Jodi called me with the news.
Myheart sunk and I could not believe my ears. I know there is nothing we can say to ease your pain. I have a special gift I would like to make you. It is called a Memory Bear. It will be made from a special piece of clothing of Jocelyn's that you give to me. If you are interested I would love to do this for you.
God help you through each day.
With love and sympathy.

God has a reason for everything he does, a lesson to be taught, something to be learned. Never forget that God above has a plan for everyone, and this was Jocelyn's plan. Now remember the past, look to the future, and be thankful for the present. Heaven has a new angel. God bless, my prayers are with you.

I remember when me and Jocelyn would play all day, swim at my house then when my mom would go to work Mandy would watch me. We would play with barbies [so much fun]. I remember when we were in the third grade and all the cheerleaders asked us to make a cheer and we did. I still remember it was the best cheer ever. We played each other this spring in a soccer tournament, the Troy Strawberry and both of our teams were in the finals. She had a really good game she scored and it was a really good goal. I'm so glad Jocelyn was there when I was a kid. I don't know what I would have done without her she is the best friend you could ever have.

Mandy and family,

I had not seen Jocelyn for many years, but I remember when she used to wear my shoes around the house when I would come to visit. When I heard the news I was truly stunned. I am so very sorry for your loss. I have been searching for something to say that will provide some comfort to you. Unfortunately, all I can say is that you all are now in my prayers and will remain so, daily. I will pray that you receive the support you need from others, that you find the strength to be that support for your boys and that each day brings you new blessings to grow from.

JO,
i remember playing soccer on you team. and how me and the girls laughed every game bc we could hear you yell to win or whatever. I miss you so much already. i hated how we faded apart from each other.
I also remembered when the end of season parties and you made us all watch Greese. And you sang every word to every song.

I am Mikala Berry's grandmother, and I was so blessed to spend time with Jocelyn when Mikala Berry had a birthday/sleepover party at my home. I quickly understood why Mikala counted Jocelyn as one of her very good friends ... Jocelyn was such an upbeat, fun, always smiling person. She made a terrific impression on this family. Anyone that has met Jocelyn will never forget her. My heart really aches for your family. You've been in my prayers often this past week and will continue to be so.

Mandy, Quinn and family...It is hard to know what to say because nothing we say will make the pain go away. But, the love of family and friends and keeping your faith in the Lord will hopefully one day bring you peace and acceptance. The questions that you all have will be answered when you are all, one by one, reunited again with Jocelyn in our Father's house. Please know TJ and I are here for you if you need us and we are praying for you.

Hi, I'm Ciara Poppa. I played soccer last year with Jocelyn and I considered her one of my best friends on the team. I'm very sorry she is no longer with us but i know that she is at peace in heaven. When i heard the news i was very upset but then i thought of how hurt your family must be, so i wish all of you my best wishes. I know she is probably up there playing soccer and running around with the other angels. She is all i have thought about and I will always remember her. She was one of a kind and a wonderful girl. I'm blessed to have known her.

Mandy and Quinn,

Please take comfort in the thirteen and a half years you spent with Jocelyn. I'll always consider myself fortunate to have known and loved Jocelyn Marie Brock. I will miss her deeply.

I hope you find some solace from these passages:

But Jesus said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matt. 19:14)

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more. Nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away." (Rev. 21:4)
