News Death Notice
GOBER, Sr., Joe B. age 72 of Dayton passed away February 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Constance Jean Gober, parents J.D. and Lucy Gober and brother Arnold Glen Thompson. He is survived by children Deborah (Frank) Christian, Michelle Saunders, Dwayne Gober and Joe Gober Jr., brother Robert (Hattie) Gober, sister Doris (Gerald) Ligon, sister-in-law Joyce Harris, brother-in-law DeEarnest Rice Jr.(Cynthia), grandchildren Shannon and Brandon Christian, Chelden Gober, Aaron Gober, Cameron and Courtney Stoudamire, great-grandchildren Jonah Dagley and Dierre Glass, dear friend Laura Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired Postmaster from the U.S. Postal Service. Very active in his church, he served on the Finance, Brotherhood and Culinary Committees, as a Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Ombudsman, Boy Scout Leader, church bus driver and many other ministries. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 401 S. Paul Lawrence Dunbar Street. Visitation 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. HHRoberts.com

My family and I are so very sorry for your lost loved one we knew Joe from H&R Block he did our taxes we really enjoyed Joe he had a great since of humor and love to laugh and joke around may he rest in peace and he will be missed and thought of always.
