John was our youngest child and he lived a very short life .He was born in Dayton at Kettering hospital in the early morning of April 30.1977, his mother and I were so proud . He travelled and lived in many states all over the country and of course to India and Europe . He loved to ski and seemed very happy with his girl friend.
I loved him with all my heart and I miss him every day . He think of him every time I see foot ball game or base ball game and even watching Simpson's or see his picture . I can;t believe that he is gone and it is still fogey. I still don't understand why he had to go so early .He had his whole life in front of him and I would have helped him any way I could regardless including with my own life if needed .He is with his mom now and she will take care of him now who loved him very much .He is buried next to his mom and I will be next when I go . I love you John and will miss you till we meet again .
Love and always ,
Dad

I not only had the chance to work with john for many years but also to call him a good friend. So, to my friend John: You have left us way too soon in life and for that I am saddened deeply. You were not only a great friend to me, of which I have been laughing for days thinking of hundreds of moments with you over the years. You were also a great mentor for me, giving me advice that I cared about and acted upon in life during years in my life that a lot of difficult decisions had to be made. I know for hundreds of people around the country you made a large impact in others lives and that will truly be an amazing legacy to leave behind in your all to short time here with us. I wish with all my heart I could have said these words to you one last time. Unfortunately we do not have that opportunity but I will toast a redbull to you (already have) and am thankful for the time I was able to spend with you in life. You were a great friend, man, mentor in life to me and so many others. Love you bro!

I worked with my John Bhai at T.G.I. Friday's he touched many people's hearts. He always had the "arm" to put around you in your time of need. His heart was bigger than the world as was his smile. His friends here in Colorado will be having a John Bhai tribute this tuesday. We will raise our glasses to a man that was our "BIG RED MACHINE"...I love you, John Bhai

I worked with John in Denali National Park. He was a friendly and outgoing person with alot of friends in Alaska who are very saddened by his death. We will certainly have a nice memorial for John at the Gold Spike Saloon where he once bartended. He will be very much missed by his many friends in Alaska but we will always enjoy the memories of the kind spirit that John was and indeed still is. Long Live John Bhai! I'm sure he's in a good place right now enjoying a nice cold one and looking forward to a banner year from his beloved Cincinnati Reds.

To hear this news breaks my heart...What a wonderful, talented, and intelligent man. John will be missed by all that ever met him...and to his family my deepest sympathy goes out to you all. My fondest memory of John was watching him play and sing a Bob Marley song at Brixx after close on Ryan Judy's guitar. John, you will always be in my heart...

John was one of the smartest and the most compassionate men I have ever had the pleasure to work for. He had a unique wit and sense of humor about him...and that laugh, who could forget that laugh! Thank you for being just who you are and teaching us all a little something about ourselves. You will truly be missed and Brixx will never be the same without you, but a wonderful reminder of you. Rest in Peace my friend...until we meet again

John. You are such and amazing person and friend. I am sorry we never go to start our Hall and Oates cover band. We would have made it big. But seriously. I am truly happy to have known you. You were always picking me up when I was down at work. You were a blast to work for, and always making me laugh. Hilarious!!!! Always there when I needed to talk to someone. I will miss our interesting conversations. I definitely miss playing guitar with you man. That meant more to me than you will ever know. I could go on for days. You are in my thoughts. My deepest sympathy to Chris, and the Bhai family. Also to Ashley, an incredibly strong girl, and amazing friend. I love you and miss you more than words can ever express. John- as a dear friend of my brother's, I have always considered you family. I remember you being at our house in high school and the three of you, John and Eric were inseperable. Your friendship stood the test of time, even when you traveled and lived across the country you and John were able to stay in touch and your friendship knew no boundaries. You have always been such a gentle soul. I am truly blessed to have had you in my life. I remember how you struggled with the tragic and sudden death of your mother. I am certain that you have been united with her and will continue to now enjoy eternal happiness by her side. I offer my deepest condolences to your father, along with your sister Karin and brother Chris. May they be comforted by knowing that you are now at peace.

John- as one of my brother's dearest friends I have always considered you part of our family. You and John were best friends through high school and even after living clear across the country from one another your friendship knew no boundaries. You have always been such a sweet and gentle soul. I am so blessed to have had you in my life. I know how much your whole family struggled with the early and tragic death of your mother. I am certain that you are reunited with her now and will have eternal happiness. My deepest condolences to your family, brother Chris, sister Karin and your wonderful father Harry. May you rest in peace and may those who love you so dearly be comforted.

John, I have loved you most of your life and I will miss you all of the rest of my life. I enjoyed seeing you and Eric grow up in my kitchen, where you always stopped before you two took off with John Joyce to be kids. I especially remember seeing how happy and excited you were as you visited your family when we were all togehter in India a few years ago. You grew up to be a bright, gentle, caring man. I will always remember how you sweetly said each time we met; "Hi, Mrs.Van Allen" and offered a big hug. I also remember how much you loved and missed your mother and our conversations about her. Be with her now.

I offer my sincere condolences to your father, Mr.Bhai, and your brother and sister, Chris and Karen and all of the other family members and friends whom you loved and who love you. They will also miss you all of their lives.

After a hard day I could always walk in the door at Brixx and feel something. What I felt was warmth! From the REGULARS who all sat in the same seat every day to the staff that waited on us. Just when I could think that I exhaled my long day John would come around the corner with that BIG smile and the FIRM hand shake asking "How's it going Sly?" From there I knew I was where I needed to be, Brixx! John will extremely be missed by us all and Chris We Love you Bro and we will crutch you through. Sly

John was one of the kindest, most caring person I have ever met. I can still hear his amazing laugh. He was a great friend to everyone. My husband and I asked him to be our sons godfather. We couldn't think of a more loving person to take on that role. He will be greatly missed. But I will always cherish the time we had with him. Our thoughts are with his family during this hard time. We love you John wherever you are! Enjoy your new journey.

John Bhai was a great friend. John loved the rich history here in Dayton and looked forward to a bright future. I respected his opinion and sought his advice. John, his brother Chris and Eric Van Allen are great inpiration for young entrepreneurs in the Dayton area. John believed in Dayton, he loved his friends, his staff at Brixx and all of his patrons. John was a great host and knew how to make people smile. I will miss my buddy John and think of him every day.
