The Breakthrough family still misses you so dearly. I know it was only for one song years ago, but I'm honored to have been able to perform with you.

I knew Joe briefly as a colleague, housemate, intellectual sparring partner, and friend. Upon meeting, it was immediately clear that he was a gifted young man with a kind heart. It always seemed to me that Joe had fair judgment and clear vision, seeing and understanding all unique perceptions simultaneously. His judgement and vision lended themselves to his diplomatic skills; Joe was easily one of the most diplomatic individuals I have ever known. The diplomacy of Joe Otto is something I remain in awe of to this very day.

I always looked at Joe Otto to see a brother-in-arms with whom I might share the burden of making a difference - creating a better world. At a time when the world seemed almost incontestable, it gave me great hope to know a person like Joe, and I looked forward to the good we could take credit for helping shape.

I was heartbroken when I found out he didn't make it.

Rest in Peace, Brother. I continue to fight the good fight - you would be proud.

See you in Valhalla. Namaste. 1 Love.

Thoughts and prayers to Joe's family and friends at this time. I'm so sorry for your loss I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through during this very difficult time. Having been a choir member at Centerville High School every person in any of the groups was our family no matter what. Something I remember about Joe was that he always had a positive attitude and was constantly wanting to help Mr Spalding and Forte in any way that he could. He seemed like such a cool guy to be around. His smile was infectious when he was onstage. Losing a Centerville person who we all knew and loved will always and forever be remembered Again, I send my deepest condolences as well as thoughts and prayers

Words cannot express how difficult it was to hear about Joe. He was only a few years younger than my nephews and could not imagine a loss of life at such an early age.

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Lean on the Lord who will give you strength in the days ahead.
