News Death Notice
BLEVINS, Kyle Austin age 16 passed away January 12, 2011. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bob R. Blevins and Paul B. Crabill; uncle, David Brockman. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Diane; brother, Connor M.; sister, Kira N.; grandmothers, Carol A. Blevins and Eleanor F. Crabill; uncles, Tim (Linda) Blevins, Denny Crabill, and Steve (Rosemary) Crabill; aunt, Karen Crabill; numerous cousins; and by his loving pets, Bailey and Riley the dogs and Chilli the Chinchilla. He was a sophomore honor student at Beavercreek High School and had earned his black belt in karate. His humorous outlook on life will be missed by many. A gathering of friends will be held Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton-Xenia Rd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital. The day that we all found out, we all wrote something on our arms in remembrance. I know, it seems trivial in hindsight. But... my friend posted this as her facebook status today and I can't think of a better way to phrase it.

I've known Kyle since kindergarden, and I sat near him every day in history. It breaks my heart to see an empty chair where he should be, and I'd just like to say that heartfelt condolences go out to everyone he knew. God bless.

My son often spoke of Kyle and his love for music. One day my son dared Kyle to sing out loud a song from Journey while going to another class. Kyle sang his heart out and my son said, "you are ok man" But Kyle continue singing! This is the Kyle we will remember. Happy and full of life. We are deeply sorry for your loss. We were so sad to hear about Kyle. It will hurt for a long time. I didn’t know him recently, but remember “Kyle B.” well from kindergarten and first grade when I spent lots of time at Main in the classroom with Mrs Salyers and Mrs Malone. He was very sweet. I consider myself blessed to have been Kyle's Kindergarten teacher. I still see his bright, energetic eyes and mischievous smile when I close my eyes. It seems like yesterday he was bouncing around the classroom giggling. I will miss him.

Kyle's life had far greater impact than he realized. As neighbors we miss him walking by the house each day occasionally saying,Hi.
