News Death Notice
GADD, Sr., Larry O'Neil Age 72, a resident of Jefferson Twp., departed September 3, 2015. He was a graduate of Sterling High School, Sheffield, AL, Class of 1962. Preceded in death by his father, Wilson D. Gadd; sister, Linda Y. Maize; grandparents, Robert and Eva Roth, Wilson and Avis Gadd. Survivors include his mother, Annie B. Gadd; children, Vicki Reed, Crystal Clemons, Larry Jr. (Marilyn) Gadd, Lavina Brown, LaShawnda Gadd, Brandon Sr. (Rachel), Damien and Ashleigh Mitchell, Marcus Smith; brother, Lawrence Gadd; sisters, Loretta Gadd, LaAvis (Dwight Sr.) Gooden, Marie (Damon) Taylor; 24 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, September 11, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3801 Fairbanks Ave. Rev. Jimmy Mann Sr. officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation from 10 am-1 pm. Family will receive friends from 12-1 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Condolences may be expressed at [email protected]

Larry was a great guy . I worked with him for many years @ Metlife. He always had a smile on his face,and a upbeat good morning Robert!! I would have to say larry was my best freind here at work. I would have loved to be there @ the services to raise him up to our lord. But was unable to attend. may you rest in peace Larry.

Well dad, I am not really sad. I'm just enjoying the wonderful memories and all the funny things you used to say and do. I can vividly remember us laughing and arguing lol you know I was gonna say whatever I wanted to and then apologize for being disrespectful. Lol.
