News Death Notice
WINTER (Pickeral), Marlene Mae 82, of Vandalia, left us Saturday, July 2, 2016. She was born in Dayton, Ohio June 24, 1934. Marlene graduated from Northridge High School in 1953. She was retired from Hobart/PMI in Troy, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Mae Pickeral; brother, Billy; sisters, Delores Scott & Beverly Walker. Survived by her husband of 47 years, Russell Winter; son & daughter-in-law, Charles Bruce & Kim MacNeil; granddaughters, Lauren & Erika MacNeil; nieces, Rhonda Kincaid (Bill Hauer) & Allie Scott; nephews, Steve Scott (Terri) & Christopher Scott; brothers-in-law, Rhea Scott & Ken Walker; sisters-in-law, Marian Beckler & Lois Kudelka; many more nieces, nephews & friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Grandview Hospital (Third floor short stay & I.C.U.) and Doctors Lavelle, Goodall & Reid for their care of Marlene. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Northridge Wesleyan Church, 1842 Neff Rd., Dayton, OH 45414. Pastor Scott Ritz, officiating. Interment Willow View Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "Northridge Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Northridge Wesleyan Church or the American Cancer Society. Condolences can be shared at www.georgecmartinfuneralhome.com.
