Mary BAKAN Obituary
News Death Notice
BAKAN, Mary Jane age 77 of Beavercreek passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mary and Joseph Loges and her husband, William "Bill" Bakan. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Rick) VanZile; sons: James (Marlene) Bakan, David Bakan and Steven Bakan (Michelle Rinehart), 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mary Jane is also survived by her sisters: Martie (Jerry) Lynch and Kathy (Greg) Senior; brother, Tom (Audrey) Loges and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of Mary Jane's caregivers and Evercare Hospice for all of their care and compassion given to her. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 4th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 5th at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 624 Wilmington Pike, Centerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The National MS Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163, www.nationalmssociety.org www.westbrockfuneralhome.com

So sorry to hear of Jane's passing. We only met on family occasions in Cleveland but she was such a sweet person. Martie said she never complained throughout her illness which says a lot about her countenance. As others have said, you will be comforted by the light that she left in all of your lives!

Mary Jane was a bright,ethical and very kind person. I worked with Mary Jane when she and I were in High School at Scott Engineering after school during the week. I always admired Mary Jane for her quick wit and smiling personality. I remember their wedding day and how happy she and Bill were and it was sad to see her lose some of her independence at a very early age. She was one of the kindest and gentlest person you could ever meet and so genuine of a personality. My deepest sympathy to her wonderful family
