I just found out about Mike. So sorry Joan. He definitely lived a long educated and interesting life. How blessed you both are to have had the opportunity to share 59 years of marriage together. My heart and love goes out to you and your family. I will always remember his intellect and easy going comedic nature. Thank you again for being there for my brothers John and Charlie and for your generous hospitality in hosting John's graduation celebration at your house, which we filled with our family. And thank you for visiting me in Middletown to celebrate my son Nathan's Reconciliation.

Dr Means was my English professor for several classes when I was attending UD from 1978-1982. He was an interesting man who made learning an enjoyable experience. I particularly liked his medieval literature class. He was very friendly and kind and I have very fond memories of him. I have thought about him over the years as I subsequently put my English and History degree to work in the legal field. He also helped instill in me a love for literature that continues today. Thank you for share your amazing husband, father and grandfather with us. Please accept my condolences. Marie Schmid Mee
