Family-Placed Obituary
TAYLOR-SCREETCH, Nioka Y. "Nike" Age 38 of Dayton departed this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Nike was employed by the State of Ohio, EPA. She was a member of the Faith Mission Community Church and a member of the Uncontrollable Women Motorcycle Club. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rita J. Screetch; grandmothers, Alice Moore & Elmetta Fullenwiley and grandfather, Sam Ransom. She leaves to cherish her memories; husband, Laddes Taylor; a devoted son, Alexis D. Smith (Cherese McBeath); father and stepmother, James T. and Judith A. Ransom- Screetch Sr.; (2) sisters, Sharon Allen (Artie) and Toyua A. Hummons (Michael); (3) brothers, James Screetch Jr., Shawn Screetch (Tracey), all of Dayton and Russell A. Pryor Sr. (Siennika) of San Diego, CA; (2) grandsons, Isaiah and Jeremiah Smith; step-grandmothers, Edna Pryor of Dayton and Geraldine Ransom of Paris, KY; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Tracey and Twalla Taylor; special friends, Arlyn Bass, Nana and Sharon Sampson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 1:00 P.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave., Bishop Reggie L. Cross, Presiding, with Bishop James T. Gilroy, officiating. Viewing will be held 9:00 A.M. Tuesday; the family will receive friends 12:00 Noon until time of service. Interment, Jeffersonview Cemetery.

NIKE
I remember the first day we met, when my mom came to visit your mom and you came out the room and we clicked from that very moment. I remember how we cried because we wanted to spend the night together and they wouldn't let us. (I think you were 9 and me 11) And we have been friends every since. I remember how I got out of trouble for staying out late, needed an excuse and you went into labor, Thanks you saved me from a serious whooping. I cant say good-bye only see you later. I have wonderful memories of you that I will cherish forever, you are so loved and missed. You were a genuine person and always stayed the same. Thanks for being a REAL FRIEND. My heart aches and I can't stop crying, but I know you touched alot of lives while you were here, that was just you nature. Rest in peace until I see you again. AN EARTHLY ANGEL IS GONE HOME.

my sincere condolences go out to "TRU'S" family and her extended mc family.i met "TRU" at the 2004 wiscounsin bikers roundup and she actually lit up the tent when she entered from that point on i knew she was a special person,her smile and her personality were unforgettable.she will "TRU-LY" be missed by all that knew her..RIDE IN PEACE "TRU"until we meet at the crossroads!! sincerely shottcalla-ruff ryderz mc/cleve,ohio

I am sorry for so many reasons Nike. I am sorry I did not keep in touch, I am sorry that I don't know if you know how you mean to me. I am sorry that my husband did not get a chance to meet my other big sister. I am most sorry that my baby Nya will only know you as an angel. I miss you so much Nike. My heart is so tender for Alexis. My prayers are with him and every other life you have touched.

Sorry I can't be there, Nike' was so special and remembering the things that we done as kids will be forever lasting. As we shared a brother(Russell) and Sister(Toyua) she will always be remembered as one of my favorites. I still hold picutres of us as kids as we were the ring barrer and she was the flower girl in J & J Screetch's wedding.

My Dear Nike, Hello, It is your cousin Dionne. I am so sorry you are no longer here. Although i have not seen you in a while I love you. I remember when we thought it was cool because we have the same middle name (Yvette)... I remember our days on Kenwood. I remember when you had Alexis, and cannot forgot your little round belly when you were pregnant with him.I can also remember us always talking about our dads and how much we love them. I know god has an angel with him and that you will be watching over all who love you and then some. Tell cousin Elmetta and Rita hello and also my dad, and I'm sure you'll have a lot to catch up on. Nike was such a special freind. I worked with her for over 10 years. She was my counterpart in the Dayton office. Many times we worked through our frustrations with the job together. Even though we did not see each other often, we talked on the phone at least once a week, even if it was not work related. Many times we talked through our problems. Helping each other deal with them. She was such a wonderful person and loved life. I will miss her very much.
