LANTIS, Paul A. Age 79 of Eaton, OH died Friday, May 26, 2006 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH. He was born October 8, 1926 in West Alexandria, OH to the late Emerson and Grace (Eby) Lantis. He retired in 1986 after 35 years of service at Citizens Federal Savings & Loan, Dayton, OH. He attended Capital University until called to duty by the U. S. Army and served time in Japan during WW II. Baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in West Alexandria, OH, he continued to be a faithful servant for many years as a Sunday school teacher, council member, organist and a member of the choir. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church; Eaton County Club. Paul enjoyed his home, his family and spending time with his wife Phyllis. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Phyllis A. (Busch) Lantis whom he married July 23, 1949; son Steve and wife Denise Lantis of Fairfield, OH, son Mike and wife Jean of Reynoldsburg, OH; 5 grandchildren Brad (Julie) Lantis, Adam Lantis, Julie Ann Lantis, Christopher Lantis, Matthew Lantis; brother John and wife Janice Lantis, New Lebanon, OH. Funeral services with be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Grace Lutheran Church, 111 Lutheran Drive, Eaton, OH with Revs. John Place and James Avers officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH with military graveside services conducted by the Preble County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the church on Tuesday. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P. 0.
