News Death Notice

PAYNE, Paul G. age 87 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Grand Court. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Grace (McMahon) Payne and his brother Ralph. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, June C. Payne; sons, Bill (Weltha) Payne, Mike (Connie) Payne; daughter, Deb (Steve) Brahm; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Paul was in the Army Air-Corps and served during WWII. He was a volunteer policeman in Port Orange, FL for 15 years and shared many happy years with the "Retreads" of Daytona Beach, FL. Paul enjoyed motorcycles and loved his Honda Gold Wing. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., with Funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Payne officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420. My heart goes out to the Payne family in this time of loss. May you all have the promise of the peace that passes understanding. When I think of this wonderful man, I will always remember his big grin and friendly manner.
