To the Groves Family,

I'm so sorry to hear about Richard.

All of the Groves, especially Adell, were very good neighbors to my mother, Dorothy, and I want them to know that I really appreciated their friendship.

I truly hope that the good memories will help the family through these tough times.

I'm thinking of you.

I am truly devastated over the passing of Richard Groves. I have known him for close to 30 years. He has always kept a warm smile and easy approach to anyone around him. My last conversations were pleasant and endearing. I grieve with all the family and will miss him just like you will.

May our Father in heaven bless and protect the family members, Adell, Betsy, Cindy, David, Mike, Jeff and Susan.

Remember that we are left with the pain of loss, as Richard is at the right hand of God. He would want us to rejoice and remember the good things, and carry on with his dignity and maturity.

1 Cor 3:18-22 speaks of how living life for us, however intelligent or rich, our pride and egos will lead to separation from God. But those who live with God as our light, have no fear of death. Death is the beginning of eternal life.

I think Richard new he was leading a proper life and had nothing to fear in death. We can all learn a lesson from him. It reminds me of my daily prayer that life is a blessing and we must learn to appreciate it.

Psalm 23
A psalm of David

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quite waters, he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
