BROOKS, Robert A. Age 81, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2004 in Naples, FL, with his wife by his side. Robert received his Bachelor of Science in Labor, Economics and Philosophy from Ohio State University. He served four and one half years in the Navy during WWII. Robert was the President/ Owner of Dayton Warehouses from 1958 thru 1993. He was former president of the Ohio Warehousing Association, a member of the American Warehouseman's Association, the Dayton Food Trade Association and the Miami Valley Traffic Club. Since 1960, Robert was a member of Walnut Grove Country Club, Dayton and Countryside CC in, Naples, FL since 1993 and a friend of Bill W. since Oct.11, 1960. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Viola Brooks. He is survived by loving wife of 28 years, Brenda C. Brooks (Curtin); daughter, Pamela Leiker; son, Robert A. Brooks II of Dayton: grandson, Mark Leiker & granddaughter, Melissa Leiker and two special nieces, Crystal Rader & Casey Taylor. Bob will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Woodland Mausoleum at 10:30 AM with Rev. Harvey Smith officiating. Entombment at Woodland Mausoleum. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
