Rufus Tillman Obituary
News Death Notice
TILLMAN JR., Mr. Rufus age 77, of Clayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Hospice. A native of Monroe, Georgia and a Dayton resident the majority of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retiree of the U. S. Postal Service. Preceded in death by his father, Rufus Tillman, Sr.; sister, Mary Nell McGuire. Survivors include his devoted wife of 43 years, Joella F. Tillman; mother, Mary Tillman; son, Ron Tillman of Dayton; daughters, Carlotta Childs-Seagle of Los Angeles, CA & Yvonne Childs-Myrick of Cincinnati, OH; 6 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. William Harris officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 9 am Wednesday at the funeral home until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Online condolences may be expressed at [email protected]
